Welcome Texas Cowgirls to the Loping Ladies Yahoo Group. LL for short!
The group was established 7/1/05, so that horse loving women in Brazoria County
and surrounding areas could meet others with the same passion... All Things
Equus! In today's busy world most women don't get a chance to interface
with other LOCAL horse loving women as much as they used to... Most of us are busy
Moms/Wives/Grandmas etc... This group is here to help horsewoman connect with others by using the internet! We are kinda like a "Red Hat Society" cept we prefer Purple
cowgirl hats! (the color purple stands for eccentricity...Do you know a
horsewoman that isn't eccentric?). We are a mixture of young and "young at heart" ...ages 25 and up. It doesn't matter what your "social
status is", your experience level, what breed you ride or raise...(we
have minis to drafts in this group), what discipline you prefer, whether you
compete or "just ride". Some of the places that we ride (and sometimes
camp!) include: State Parks, Camp Coyote,, 7IL,
Pierce Ranch, Watterson, local beaches, arenas (we LOVE clinics!), and roadways.
Entry into the group is determined by your location. You have to live
within 100 miles of Angleton, Texas so that you will be able to be a
integral part of this "Fellowship of Horsewomen". (use mapquest if you aren't sure if you live close enough)
Just jump right in and share any information that you would like (we are a sharing & caring group. This is a "No lurking" group, so speak up! Be sure to set your Yahoo profile to an email address that you are going to check or you won't recieve our response and questionare.
Remember to use proper "Netiquette" on the list by utilizing the simple
rule of "Do unto others", ie No flaming, slamming, or personal attacks will
be tolerated. Or as Annie Oakely would
say.... "Be Nice or Leave"
