In this day and age of legislation directed at our rights as pet owners, we are all concerned about legislation being done right to protect responsible pet ownership. MIPetLaw is directed to defend our rights to own pets. We are here in part to monitor legislation in our state,region and nation that may negatively address our rights. All are welcome including private breeders, rescuers, animal welfare severs, legislators and pet owners. This may be very very emotional for some so we will be moderated for flames, trolls and off topic posts. We are not an Animal Rights debate list. Our focus will need to be on laws affecting dogs, cats, birds, pets, breeders, rescue, breed bans, and licensing. We are here to learn to work together if we are to own pets in the future. We do discuss related topics such as--breeding practices, rescue policies, various organizations, etc., but our main focus will always be on our rights to own pets.
