K9Jym is proud to have Alexa Karaoulis present the seminar: Games from
Control Unleashed (tm). If you have a dog that needs to learn to relax in a
stimulating environment, then this is an excellent opportunity to address those
issues. The Control Unleashed program teaches dogs to relax, focus, and work
reliably off leash in stimulating, stressful, or distracting situations. "Learn
how to turn stress into confidence and distraction into focus."
Alexa has been training dogs for 15 years. She has competed in Agility,
Obedience, and Flyball, and has experience working with reactive dogs in many
situations. She has also assisted Leslie McDevitt in her Control Unleashed
classes. Leslie fully endorses Alexa in giving this seminar and presenting the
Control Unleashed program
The date is December 5th and 6th from 9am - 1pm. This is a two day seminar.
This seminar will be limited to 10 dogs with unlimited auditors. The cost will
be $90.00 per working team for both half days. Auditors are $25.00 each.
For details and directions, please call 215-822-8840 or visit the K9 JYM
website at www.K9JYM.com. We look forward to seeing you.
(permission to crosspost)
I have had a lot of questions about this trial. As most area exhibitors
know, the site that clubs around here had been using is out of commission
for now.
BUT, just want to let you all know we HAVE found a site and the trial IS
on. It is on the same weekend as before, January 16/1,7 at Eden Park
Equestrian Center in Sunbury, OH (north of Columbus). This is the same
location the AKC Nationals were at several years ago.
Judges are Chris Danielly and Val Reiner. STPL/GP, double M games (except
relay)
Test Schedules will be out shortly. Thank you for your patience.

Reiki a healing energy is a universal
life force energy that is very powerful for both people and animals.
Reiki means spirit in
Japanese, or breath of life. It is a tool, which supports physical, emotional,
and spiritual healing. Reiki energy is one name for the force that is behind
all life that exists. It is considered by some to be the subtle force behind
everything that links us all together. Dr. Usui developed the system that is
used today by people that practice this art of healing. It is a powerful
compliment to massage and is very beneficial with the animals. Through learning
about all types of healing, animals receive what they need to enable their own
bodies to begin to recharge.
Reiki is different than
massage in several ways. The hands are still used but they do not move or
manipulate the tissue. They are simple rested on the body or off the body
to direct energy to the recipient. Reiki can do no harm and if the animal
or person does not need the energy in that area the energy will go where it is
needed. It is very useful for relaxation as well as for situations where
massage cannot help. If an animal has a very soar area Reiki is a perfect
way of affecting the area positively without forcing touch on them.
Reiki is done through a
series of hand positions which are designed to coincide with the
chakras in the body. These chakras or energy centers coincide with
the endocrine system in the body. If the energy is blocked in an area
illness could occur.
Session participants (limit 10)
$75 for Reiki I seminar & $85 for Reiki II Seminar

Parkersburg DTC NADAC Agility Trials February
13-14 2010
Hello fellow Agility enthusiasts!
PDTC (WV)
is holding our annual Winter NADAC Agility Trials on Saturday-Sunday, Feb
13-14th. Our judge is Jean Marie Wilkins from Maryland. We
are offering 6 runs on Saturday and 5 on Sunday, including Chances on
both days. We are
holding these trials INDOORS at The Fieldhouse Family Sports &
Wellness Center in Zanesville, OH. This is an indoor artificial
turf ("field turf") arena that we have used for our last
several trials, and which everyone has been extremely pleased with,
roughly 50 minutes East of Columbus just off I-70. Please see my
website for additional information, including hotels for the area (we're
working on special rates to be offered - please check back
frequently for the latest info). Rubberized surfaces have
been applied to all contact obstacles, and 24"-spaced weave poles
will be used. Please
note that we encourage Junior Handlers and their canine teammates to come
play as well, so we are offering reduced entry fees of only $9 per run
(vs the standard $12/run). There is also a "full weekend"
package rate for non-JH teams if you enter all 11 runs.
The
Premium List can be accessed in the Acrobat pdf format at my website:
Note that the entry period is open IMMEDIATELY! Send your entries
as soon as you'd like... and the sooner the better, since we filled
one or both days BEFORE the closing date for two of the last three
trials, and the other one came very close! (we are also limiting
Sunday to 450 runs this time vs 500 last year, since our judge had to
leave before the trial was over last February! So Sunday is even
more likely to fill before the closing date...)
If you
have trouble accessing the premium or would like a paper copy instead,
just let me know. If you are receiving this email, we do not plan
to send a paper copy unless requested.
We hope to see you in February!! Run fast, run clean!
-Glenn Rawsky, Trial Secretary
PS - please feel free to forward this message. If you need multiple paper
copies for club members, please let us know and we'll be glad to send
them. Glenn Rawsky
Parkersburg OTC Agility Trial Secretary
Hi, all!
Medina Swarm's November CPE trial closes on 11/17, but we would like to let
everyone know about our holiday/new year incentive.
Our indoor facility is looking good with huge cleanup, fresh paint, not 1 but 2
fully functional indoor bathrooms – no more portables!
Judge Carol Thom will be providing us 3 runs at Standard and 2 at Colors &
Jackpot, in addition to all the remaining games.
For those of you that played at our October CPE trial, please come see us again;
and if you missed that one, here's your last chance with us in 2009.
We are offering a special incentive for our November 27-29 CPE trial.
If you enter at least 2 full days of the three, you will receive one free class
that can be applied to either our Jan OR Feb 2010 CPE trials.
If by chance you have already entered, and wish to modify what you are doing,
please contact trial secretary Julie Dunn, tafmag8487@..., as soon as
possible to make any changes that you may want.
We will work with you to be sure everyone eligible gets the appropriate
credit/incentive.
Please consider getting your entries in soon, you don't want to miss out on the
fun.
Thanks very much, we hope to see you soon and next year - watch for premiums
arriving soon (Jan 30-31, Feb 20-21).
Happy CPE-ing!
Steve Bagstad and Amanda Ennis
Swarm CPE Co-Chairs
p.s. By "full day", we mean all classes for a given day (all 3 for Fri, all 4
for Sat/Sun)
