Dear Friends,
I'm sending the following email again, for the main reason that I lost my saved mail when I got a new computer, and do not have all the names that volunteered so far. Also, we did not get many replies, and I'm hoping with it being a little closer to the event, you'll have your schedules and plans, and be able to help us out.
If you have any questions, feel free to reply to this email (others may have the same questions!) or to me directly. (s.hutchinson@...)
Thank you!
Shannon

WOW! It is almost that time again! DOG PADDLE TIME!!! Can you believe this will be our 5th year?! How exciting!
Once again, we're in need of volunteers to help at the Dog Paddle. The time has not been finalized yet, however we expect it to be like last year, 9AM-3PM.

Volunteers will receive a free Friends of the Dog Park t-shirt (to wear at the event) and a paid admission for one dog. However, we ask that you bring your dog before or after your volunteer time, unless you have someone that can watch your dog for you while you're working.
The times will be in 2 hour increments, beginning half hour before the event.
Here is the event information
DATE: Saturday, September 9, 2006
Rain date, Sunday, September 10, 2006
The jobs we need covered will range from
1. Checking rabies tags for validation.
2. Placing the zipcords (used to show payment) on the dogs collars.
3. Sitting at a "waiver" table, where all participants must sign in before entering.
4. Policing the EXIT gate, so there are no escapes!
5. Helping to monitor the pool area, watching mostly...possibly helping to keep people out of the pool.

We have steadily had around 700 dogs participate through out the day. We really could
use your help! However, please only agree of you are sure you can help. It's a lot of
work, but it's also a LOT of fun!
Thank you for your interest. If you have any questions or concerns, please
feel free to ask.
