Please consider this sobering statistic: Each week, over 500 homeless pets end up at the Miami-Dade Animal Services Unit. Without the intervention of rescue groups, only 1 in 3 of these helpless animals has any chance of survival. Miami-Dade Rescue Railroad (MDRR) is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) organization (made up entirely of animal-loving volunteers) that rescues and transports dogs and cats from Miami-Dade Animal Services, to no-kill facilities and foster homes throughout the state of Florida.

Please note: Animals housed at any shelter, including Miami Animal Control, are prone to illness. Chances for illness increase when animals are young and/or puppies. Quarantine for at least 2 weeks is critical and highly recommended.
