The MAL is for education, exchange of information and chat regarding Australian Shepherds w/ a special focus on supporting mini Aussies. Please read and save the following list rules.

1) Topics that aren’t Aussie relevant are not permitted, however, tangential subjects are allowed (e.g. raising stock to work your dogs, exercising dogs on trails, etc.)

2) Litter/dog announcements are limited to no more than one per week per litter/dog. They MUST contain:

a) Status of hip certification on sire and dam*
b) Status of eye certification on sire, dam and puppies*
c) Status of patella certification on sire, dam and puppies*

*Certification itself is not required (i.e. you may list hips as undone.) (No test yet exists for epilepsy.)

3) Photos may be uploaded to the photo folder and other files may be uploaded to the file folder.

4) Attachments are being allowed on a trial basis. Attachments should be smaller than 100 kb apiece (jpg format for best photo compression) and relevant to list focus. Chain mail forwards, etc. are not permissible. Amber Alerts, Lost Dog announcements, etc. ARE allowed, but please check validity first.

5) Please follow common netiquette:
a) Sign your name.
b) Trim your posts, especially if you are on digest.
c) Change subject lines if you change the topic.
d) If your reply is directed at one poster rather than the list, please respond privately.
e) DO NOT POST IN ALL CAPS unless you intend to scream.

6) Brags and event results are welcome, but please respond privately with congratulations.

7) Debate and discussion are encouraged, but flames are not.

8) If you are blocked or moderated on this list more than once, you will be removed indefinitely.

9) Monitoring or blocking posts will be done without warning any time that the owner feels your post content may not be in the best interest of this list or the mini Aussie.
