Good morning,
I am new to breeding Mini Obers and have a question. I realize that in order to
work on breed character that sometimes it is necessary to breed a purebred
Nigerian buck to a generational doe. I see that the generation remains the same
as the dam.
My question is this: Can one breed a generational buck to a purebred Nigerian
doe and still register the offspring? No doubt the generation would not change,
but would remain the same as the dam, but I was wondering what the registry
rules are.
Also, I am aware that one would have to use common sense when doing this. The
generations behind the part bred could be a factor with birthing issues. I am
just wanting to know if it is "legal" within the registry to do this and have
registered offspring.
Thanks for understanding the learning curve here.
Best regards,
