Missing Cat Assistance offers a network of support, referral, and guidance in locating and recovering lost cats. Membership is open to volunteers, shelter personnel, rescue volunteers, pet detectives, people who want to learn about lost cat behavior, lost pet services, conscientious pet-owners, and pet-owners who have lost a cat and are seeking help. Helpful tips, rescue stories, questions, photos are all welcome. No flaming, cursing, or put-downs of anyone's methods or outcomes. We are here to share and help those who have lost their beloved cats. The ideas, views, tips, and referrals suggested on this list (i.e., religious, animal communicators, pet detective services, etc.) are not necessarily the views of volunteers, or of the Moderator or Owner of this list. Pictured here is "Tippy Toes," an OUTDOOR-access cat taken from her yard and intentionally relocated by a neighbor, missing since May 26, 2002. In contrast, most INDOOR-only cats are recovered within blocks of their home where they are scared and hiding.
