I’m
still here. My Arabian mare is close to foaling. We could have a foal by the
end of the week. I won’t be around much, due to I’m on foal watch.
I’ll be staying in the living quarters of my horse trailer, so I can be
close to Moonlight. We started putting her in the foaling stall last night, and
wow did her udder start to fill. She’s been showing discomfort for
several days, so we know she’s getting close. Donna

Hi Ann, Welcome to the group!!! Sorry to hear the Parkinson is giving you fits. I know how it is to hurt. My hips, knee, and elbow gave me fits last night. We don't have any change of weather till Thursday, but dang it's not fun having built in barometers. I also am fighting with an cold coming on, not a good combination that's for sure.
Our horses are doing fine, I have six, four are Appaloosas, one is an Russian Arabian, and one is an cute POA. Started working with the latest horse I just got. She's not had much hands on her, and she's a Canadian bred Appaloosa. She's the Horse of the Month right now in the group. Her picture is on the Homepage here in the group. She's a own Granddaughter of Dreamfinder, has Hayes Roman Cloud in her twice. Dean and I worked with Cloudy yesterday, put the lead rope on her for the first time, and she did better than we thought she would. She back some, and had the scared look in her eye, but once we started to quietly talk to her, she calmed down, and she does lead, just have to work with her to remind her, and she likes the lead rope real loose. If it's tight, she'll get upset, so it's apparent she's had some kind of abuse before Richard got her. She's turning into a Momma's girl. I really love this mare. I'm glad I owner her. My Russian Arabian is bred to an Egyptian Arabian for a 2006 foal, she's due at the end of March. I am excited about this foal. This will be my first purebred Arabian to raise.
What kind of horses do you have, Ann?
We do horse of the Month in the group. The horse's picture is put on the Homepage of the group. I privately e-mail the person to see if they'd like one of their horses to be horse of the month. It's fun for the group. It's great to have you here, Ann. Donna
Sorry to hear about the ole parkinsons flaring up, My grandmother bless her soul had that and I saw what she went thru daily growing up, for me other than fighting a cold that can't make its mind up on where to settle, I am doing good
my horses I have which is 9 are as follows
polly a grey tenn walking/qh mare who is use to be a heck of a barrel mare/pole bending and has been used as a healer
dancer is polly's two year old grey/white paint filly who has polly's attitude and disposition
pepper a grade chocolate tenn walking mare
lady a grade strawberry roan tenn walking mare
midnight a black registered spotted saddle horse mare
desiree midnights this years filly a buckskin paint
piasco a 18 year old paso fino
oreo a yearling black and white registered TW
ginger a 9 year old chestnut registered TW
so I guess you know my vote is tennessee walkers
hope everyone has a wonderful day and happy trails to you --- In Missouri_trailriders@yahoogroups.com, "Ann" <quietways@a...> wrote: > > Hi, > How is everyone doing? I'm okay. Hi Ann, Welcome to the group!!! Andulusians are beautiful horses. I love watching them being shown. I have four Appaloosas, one Russian Arabian, she's bred to an Egyptian Arabian, due to foal, March, 2006. I also have a real nice POA. My Arabian is getting spots on her, not talking the Paint/Pinto markings but spots like Appaloosas, and she's an 1987 mare. I kid with her now, and ask her if she's trying to turn into an Appaloosa. lol She's a nice mare. I don't do much trail riding right now, but plan to in the future as well as showing my Appaloosas. I am currently showing my two year old Appaloosa gelding. We're done for this year, but are going to start in the end of April, 2006. It's great to have you hear. We do Horse of the Month. I privately e-mail the person that owns the horse that is chosen for Horse of the Month and do ask them if they'd like one of their horses to be Horse of the Month. It's not for Horses for Sale though, just a member's horse. We do allow advertising in the group, pictures, as long as it pertains to horses. In Regards, Donna
HI Ann
Welcome aboard, hope you find this group fun and helpful
I love to watch Andulusians, I think they are majestic in their
movements
I currently have about 8 horses here, a 12 year old grey tw/qh mare
that is one heck of a barrel/ pole bending/ calf roping mare, she has
given me some wonderful babies over the year, including the last filly
which I kept a grey and white paint, I also have tenn walkers and do
mainly trailriding, I just purchased a 9 year old tenn walker that was
used as a broodmare and they just starting to re ride her lately, I am
hopeing that I can take her out on the trails next year. I use to
years ago work with standardbreds and just fell in love with them
Feel free to ask anything if you have any questions about anything and
I am sure you will find some helpful answers
Nancy/group owner
Hi,
My name is Ann, I used to have a red roan QH named Elmer that I went
on trail rides with, mostly at Hulston Mill with; but I sold him and I
am now in to Andalusians. I have to wait until they are of age to be
ridden before going on rides but they will be mostly show horses.
I've been waiting since I was a little girl for these horses!!
But I wanted to keep up on the trail riding stuff as well. Hope
everyone had an enjoyable summer and is having a superb fall. I'm
taking my young'uns on walking trails walks and they enjoy them.
Might see me out there with one next year, it is good training.
Warm regards,
Ann Atkinson<>< at Quiet Ways Andalusians

saddle horses and other gaited horses at this sale...they have 200 head listed
in the catalog
Hi everyone. We've just put 50 acres in Lebanon, Mo under contract.
We'll be raising a few cattle (grass fed, organic) & w/ have some
personal use horses. We'll also take as many rescue horses as we have
for our use. Sortta a tithe, to the equine species for their
permitting our use of them. We also have an RV & plan to do some
horse camping. I'm looking to hookup w/ some others interested in the
same thing. We will be able to provide a spot for you to park your RV
(or pitch a tent.)
We have 3 barns, the new one =40 X 80, fixable = 20x20? & a teardown.
We plan to expand the big one, almost big enough to be a small arena
now. We'll put some stalls in the expansion & be able to (I hope) use
the main part for rainy days work. But, it'll also house our RV in
part of the expansion & could be used by visitors as well.
I hope to get a handle on the horse community thru these groups. We
won't be permantly relocating until summer sometime.
