URGENT - Philly, PA - Rottie Owner Dies Survived by his Senior Rottie Boy - Need to find home, foster, rescue
This Rottie-Boy is in Philly, PA. At this moment he is NOT in a shelter, but in an apartment alone after his owner died, and the landlord wants the dog gone. Period. This means this old rottie-boy ( obviously traumatized and sad after being present during his owners death and being with the body until found!) is about to end up in the city shelter, where he will be exposed to God only knows what and well... you know the story on how it goes for most of the seniors. He will further withdraw and degenerate, possibly fail an evaluation, and eventually be killed.
Please share with any contacts you may have, in hopes that someone may have a home available to him.

Subject: If anyone has a contact...
I got a call from a woman about this dog. I just posted him, but the pictures aren’t up yet. Very sad if you know anyone. SUCH a nice dog.
Thanks, Beth
Poor Jake. Jake's owner died suddenly after having this sweet boy since he was a puppy. Jake is now 10 years old, and he misses his owner very much. In his younger years, Jake did Agility, and there are pictures in the apartment of him participating in this sport. Jake and his owner were familiar figures in their neighborhood up until the end. Jake's daddy would throw balls to Jake to fetch, a favorite game of Jake's.
Now Jake is staying in the apartment alone since his owner died, and being cared for by various neighbors. His time is limited, as the landlord is going to want to rent the apartment out shortly. At his age, Jake doesn't stand a chance at the city shelter that is packed with young dogs not making it out.
Can you be the angel who gives Jake a home for the rest of his senior years? Jake is good with kids, cats, and other dogs, but will need time to transition into a new home. He is very good natured, but also missing his owner. Jake is neutered and up to date on his shots.
