NC has 3 main interstate highway systems running through it. I40, I85 and I95. This group is dedicated to collecting rescue volunteers who work in transporting animals using these systems as their main routes. I95 through the whole state has a severe weakness in the number of transport volunteers. While not as severe, I85 and I40 also could use more help. Without transport, doing rescue work would be almost impossible. Even on a local basis it is necessary for people to work together to get an animal out of the shelter and into rescue. This list is open to rescue groups, transport coordinators and individuals who offer services. The only requirement is that if you join you are committed not only to useing the people to fill your transports, but offer your own people to help everyone else in the group do the same. It is expected that, if you are a Rescue, then anyone you have transporting along these highways be available to help each other. I am looking for serious help. Committed transporters. People who live along the interstate routes. The more volunteer transporters we have available then the less we will all have to work. The goal? That these areas be strong with dedicated people so that a handful are not working themselves to death every weekend. That there are dogs saved because we are working together to achieve that end. Thanks. Sus
