Yesterday Sorah had her 3 week checkup on her Cruciate surgery and passed with flying colors. For three weeks, she is further along than normal in the use of the leg and the joint is moving smoothly. Yahoo!!!Dr. Schultz was even proudly pointing out how much coat she had already grown on the leg......... ..the scar is almost completely covered already. He rightfully can be proud of the coat, as he actually managed to do the surgery while leaving the pants on the back of her leg on, though shortened down to about 3 inches...... lol. Normally the entire leg is shaved with a surgical blade almost to the top of the hip. I think he has had a ball pointing out to everyone that he did it.........grin. I had asked him if he had to shave the back of the leg too, as it takes so long to grow and she only needs a major and a couple of singles to finish and he told me yes he had to. When I went to pick her up, he, two other vets and three assistants proudly showed off her new haircut..... ......giggle. ...it was a first for them.To make matters even better, when we came home from the vet Sorah's OFA papers were in the mailbox. She came back OFA Good & Elbows Clear. Yeah!!!!!!Please send more Setter Zen for her continued recovery, that stuff is great!!!Ilene DeLaereKarrelene Kennels
