Thanks for the chuckle, Ilene. Been there, done that! And Will's yo-yo is missing this a.m.
Could it be?? (I hope he just flossed with the string!)

Have a very Happy Thanksgiving to all.
Now to go murder or turn into desert a couple of Gordons who will NOT get any turkey. Got up this morning early to finish things off for the dinner early evening. Found a couple of loafs bread had been stolen and eaten (was for the dressing)... ....Treasure was walking around with a piece sticking out of her mouth, doing her "see what I've got you can't have it" act (Inherited from her father TREEVER, imagine that) .the one pumpkin pie had been stolen and eaten....... including shredding the disposable pie pan. Think Eden........ a Treever grand daughter.... ......was the culprit on the grand theft pie and bread, the others just waited to help.
Do you think anyone would notice black hairs in their dessert..... ...maybe I could call it Gordon pie or Pie ala Gordon?????? ? Hmmmmm, our daughter might catch on as she has a Treever daughter too and is the breeder of Eden.
Happy Thanksgiving all and lots of laughs at my expense. Gotta go make pie......... grin..... .....and borrow bread.
Happy Thanksgiving to everyone-don' t forget to share a liitle turkey with your critters to let them know how thankful and blessed we are to have them in our lives. God Bless and keep our families, our troops, our nation and our "puppers" Despite some tough times, we are still pretty lucky to live in this great country and enjoy it's freedoms and bounty.

congrats, Jamie. Ilene, I am glad I am not the only one struggling with getting a male Gordon to understand that stay doesn't men run up and jump on mommy....sigh Mary D
Jamie (Am Can Ch Karrelene's Renaissance Man) came out of retirement to earn his Rally Novice title at 7 years of age with a score of 97 out of a possible 100 points and a 4th place in the class. He missed 3rd place by 20 seconds. Now to convince him stay does NOT mean "come to mommy"...... ........sigh. That may take a bit longer...... .....big sigh.

We were a few miles from it, but felt nothing nor did we hear it or at least didn't realize what it was and neither did those with us. The show site was fairly close to it, they closed all but two roads into the area, but the show went on on time anyway. That day it was an evening show and we were on the beach and saw the dark cloud over the palm trees and thought it was going to rain, but when we went further out on the beach you could see the smoke rising. What should have been a half hour drive took us 2 1/2 hours. At least we were never bothered by the smoke at either place.
Thanks. Think the Uhlar's are still floating above Cloud 9 somewhere.

I was so worried about you...I knew you had taken your crew to Puerto Rico, and when I saw there was a terrible explosion there somewhere, and there was a mandatory evacuation...I worried about you and all your dogs...were you anywhere near that??

ps...congratulations...Uhlar's have to be thrilled, and Sorah sure came back strong!!
Firstly I want to congratulate Dan & Margie Uhlar of Colorado. Dan finished their boy Spencer (Ch Karrelene's I Want It All). They are so excited they have to come down to Cloud 9 level.............grin..........and it may take awhile. Dan showed Spencer to his title and won three 3 point majors and a 5 point major plus 2 singles and Spencer is only 20 months old. He is their first Gordon Setter and their first show dog!!!!! Spencer is the second in his litter to finish and a third one is pointed. Spencer is sired by Multi BIS Multi BISS Am Ch Can UKC G Ch Karrelene's Bagpiper Am Can CD, Am Can RN CGN and out of Am Can Ch Warchant Penelope AD Am Can CD Am Can RN JH CGN. Spencer looks very much like his grandfather, Treever, except the eyes are different.
The second Championship belongs to our own darling Sorah, now Am Can Ch Karrelene's Bagpiper's Legacy. Sorah, like Spencer, is a Galen daughter and is out of Can Ch Karimar's Forbidden Fruit JH. This Championship is extra special to us as a year ago July she fractured the bone behind her left knee and unbeknownst to us or the vets also tore the cruciate in her right knee and we weren't 100% sure she would ever go back into the ring. The cruciate injury wasn't discovered until two days before her father's death and was repaired exactly a week after his death. It has only been 5 months since the cruciate repair and a month before the shows she pulled a muscle in the right leg the very first day she was allowed to run on her own. Our vet........bless him.......left about 1/2 the pants on the back of her leg when he repaired the cruciate though everything else had to go. He swore she would be back in the ring by the end of October......before she pulled the muscle!!! Though she looked a bit unbalanced due to coat differences (6 inches on the left stifle and 2 or 3 on the right..........yes, she is a coat machine like her father!!!!), she went Best of Breed over the Special for a 5 point major the first day, reserve the second day and Best of Breed the third day for a 4 point major to finish!!!!! Moved to Specials she again went Best of Breed the fourth day!! She ended up finishing with three majors all together plus singles.
Also would like to add that I made my reappearance in the ring for the first time in over two years too...........new knee and all...... and showed Sorah in Bred By and it was GREAT!!!! I do admit to passing her off for Winners Bitch and BOB. Did handle someone elses dog all the way thru the last day and didn't have a problem.......yahoo!!!!
Thanks for listening.

This weekend Toby (Can Ch Tanhaus Celtic Promise To Karrelene JH) finished his American Championship by going Best of Winners both days. Toby finished, in I believe, 7 weekends with 3 majors. He also has a Group 4 in Canada from the puppy class.
His sire is Am Can Ch Warchant Achilles AD Am Can CD Am Can RN JH CGN and his dam is Ch Karelene Bobbie's Bonnie Lass.
He was bred by Dave & Bobbie Tanis and is co-owned with them. He is from their first litter and is their first Homebred Champion (Both American & Canadian) and their first Group placer. To make things even better, after an excited call to them yesterday to inform them that he had gone Best of Winners for a two point win. That also he only needed a single and could possibly finish today, they decided to interrupt their weekend get away to run over to the dog show this morning so they could hopefully see him finish. They got their wish and I'm sure the floated all the way back to their getaway.
To add to their thrill Fauna (Can Ch Tanhaus Look Out Karrelene JH), Toby's litter sister, went Winners Bitch yesterday for her first two points and took the Reserve today. It is only her fifth time in the AKC ring and she has two Reserves for majors too.
Great job for Toby-and congrats to his breeders/owners and fans all around!

Farewell to a great boy. He was one of the coolest dog's I've ever met. Hugs to you Diane,
I know it's hard to say good bye.

Today we helped Bob,over the rainbow bridge.
Our first champion, BBB and all breed HIT winner. He was a dog with a passion for running big and pointing anything. I carry a mental picture of him flying along the hill top ridge at Highland, with the autumn sun behind him, and the huge setter smile he had when I walked him back out of the bird field. Life didn't get any better for him than the 20 minutes of ecstacy running the junior course. He retired with 9 JH legs!!
I'm sure he's already hunting at the bridge.

Lindsay called me last night. She said entries were coming in steadily (she got 12 yesterday), but she doesn't have a total yet. There are many more Irish entries that Gordons, but that is always the case.
She will alert MBF to the error in the Irish listing of her address (it is missing a zero in the middle of the number part of her address).
Also, closing if you are entering through infodog is Monday at noon, she said (as they have to fed ex the entries to her front door). Closing at her place is Wed. at 6pm.
Ok, I checked too and found they were the same. However, it is different for the Irish Premium on Infodog. At least ours is correct. Sorry to ring a false alarm.

Sarah,
I have checked the yellow premium list, the Nodrog Website premium, and the Infodog posting...and they all list Lindsay's address as
Lindsay Strutt
28030 Eton Street
Westland, MI 48186-5106
I am completely confused...are you sure you weren't looking at the Show Chair's address?? There is an error, in that Pat Franklin is listed as the Chair, and it is Mary Duerksen, but the address (for the Show Chair...Mary D) is correct.
As is Lindsay's address, to the best of my figuring...
Does anyone have the correct address for Lindsay Strutt? There is one on the premium and infodog has another. For those entering through infodog, if that is the wrong address then their entries won't get in.
