This group has three goals:
1) Re-establish our rights to be able to own hybrid cats (Savannahs, Bengals, Chausies, Safaris, etc.) in the state of Nebraska,
2) Re-establish our rights as private individuals to be able to own Servals and all other small cat species (50 pounds and smaller) in Nebraska, and
3) Get reasonable regulations for small-cat ownership established in the state that will protect public safety and the animals' welfare, but will not unduly restrict individuals' rights.


A large and diverse captive gene pool is necessary if we are to successfully prevent the extinction of many cat species within our lifetimes. And properly-regulated pet ownership can be a useful tool in the long-term conservation of at least some of the wild cats.
