Oh! When you said dog friendly for the 4th of July I was sure you meant some
getaway place that would be far, far from fireworks and all the fear and anxiety
that they instill in my two dogs. If anyone knows of something like that, we'd
love to hear about it. We always try to just get away into the woods away from
any chance of hearing or seeing fireworks.
Good luck, tho, on your run, Emily!

Tahoe over the 4th of July that I like so much I've volunteered to work it this
year.

takes place in Incline Village, Nevada (North Lake Tahoe) on the morning of July
4. If you've been to Lake Tahoe, you know it is VERY dog friendly and the I-CAN
is no exception. Take your best friend along for a 5 or 10K walk or run along
the forest trail and safe on-road lake view route. It starts at 8 a.m., so my
10 you can be off to the famous Incline Pancake Breakfast, spend the day on the
water and enjoy the evening's fireworks. Plus the proceeds go to children's
charities and youth sports.
