Welcome to the PCA Goat Chatgroup! The goal of the PCA Goat Registry is to breed for a colored fiber goat, which grows a special fiber that is neither mohair nor cashmere.
The PCA Goat Registry has no formal breed standards at this time, but the registry will accept the following:
*** The pedigree of the goat can include goats registered not only with PCA, but also with the Pygora Breeders Association (PBA), the Colored Angora Goat Breeders Association (CAGBA), as well as the National Pygmy Goats Association (NPGA) and the American Angora Goat Breeders Association (AAGBA.
*** Color patterns accepted in the PCA registry will be those generated by both the pygmy goat and the colored angora goat. Thus, the color pattern of the PCA goat can originate from either the Pygmy or the colored Angora or both.
You will find lots of helpful files, links and a list of PCA breeders using the panel on your left. Also, check our on-going polls, calendar of events and photo albums from our members. You can access the official PCA Goat Registry site (under development) at: http://pcagoats.org
