Mr. Van Istendal,

It was great seeing you yesterday at DVC's A-Day, I am sorry we missed the
Cockroach races!

As promised, I am sending you some information about the upcoming PVCA
conference. The conference is scheduled for November 19, 20, & 21st 2003
at the Ramada Inn, State College, PA. As I mentioned, PVCA chose the dates
and location to based on the PPMA Conference being held earlier that same
week at PSU. We decided it would be a great opportunity for some members
of each of our groups to have a chance to attend both conferences. It
would also be a great opportunity for Speakers/Presenters and Industry
Representatives to be able to attend two conferences with minimal time away
from home.

Our conferences is still in its planing stages but I can tell you that it
looks like it will be a great conference with presentations on West Nile
Virus, Rodent Control, Media Relations, Changing Laws for our Industry,
Research Studies, etc. Due to West Nile Virus, our group has swelled to
about 100-120 members participating in the conference. As mentioned on our
website, our membership consists mainly of local, county and state
employees working in vector control. Most work exclusively in mosquito
control but several of us also run Rodent Control programs and/ or Black
Fly programs. It would be great if you could help us spread the word to
your members and speakers about our group and I will help do the same on
our end.

Below is the link for our website and I know that our Webmaster, Ben Russel
will be updating it soon with information about our upcoming conference. I
will also ask Ben to update the link for the new Pennsylvania Pest
Management Association (www.papma.org) on our links page when he gets an
opportunity.

Again, it was a pleasure seeing you yesterday and I hope to speak to you
