Welcome to Parrot Recall Training: Darren Edwardson: Group Owner/Originator.
Hi, to all. This is a group I have decided to start to teach recall to parrots. If we train our pets for recall training, it greatly aids in the ability to get the bird back, should a loss occur. Please don't send messages regarding adds, or spam etc. This group is designed to help people with training birds for recall in order to aid in the birds to be reunited with a greater percentage of success and for freeflight outdoor/indoor training. I would like this group to be a professional group and one where people may ask questions and share their experiences. Rudeness will not be tolerated, there are other lists where that type of posting is not only accepted but almost encouraged and this is NOT one of them. I believe in treating people with the same respect and consideration that we all would like to be treated with. Our goal here will be to educate with the most positive environement, after all .. isn't that our GOAL with the birds? Please join and feel free to suggest other people to join so we can hopefully help in this area.
As far as posting photos: There is a different group for photos: parrotrecalltrainingphotos. Please join that group if you'd like to share photos .. that way people can choose to be on it, if they don't have high speed internet. If you have been 'denied' membership contact darrenmerc@comcast.net as we try to keep spam out of the group. Thank You.
The bird on the Main Page: Polo, Red Fronted Macaw, flying over a lake in Minneapolis on a nice summer day. He loves flying as much as possible, and with consistent training and positive reinforcement methods, along with food management, it can be done. He's a STAR on the WATER. :)
