My name is Anna McClung and I am the owner of Pekepals. I started Pekepals 10 years ago for people who are passionate about the Pekingese breed. I welcome anyone who is sincerely interested in the Pekingese breed. Being a great Pekingese owner takes a lot of responsibility and is not for everyone. Pekes require some special care because they are brachycephalic (flat faced) dogs. On Pekepals we promote responsible pet ownership. If you are going to have a Pekingese as a pet you need to be willing to learn how to take care of your Pekingese, and that requires educating yourself by asking questions and reading about them. If you want to be a Pekingese breeder and are going to breed your dog, you must do a ton of research first so that you can be a Reputable, Responsible Breeder, and are ONLY breeding to improve the Pekingese breed, and not detracting from the breed standard. Don't expect to get rich from breeding your peke, it's purely done for the love of the breed and comes with great risk to your female peke and her pups. If you aren't willing to have an open mind and learn from others and do your research, then you have no business being a breeder or a pet owner. I personally have been owned by 13 Pekes over the last 17 years. I am currently owned by Buddha, Ali, Chet, Nicky Lokee.
