Hmmmmm.......Unfortunately no contact with Suarez or Donayre. They must have left or been elsewhere by the time I got there. All of the vets were called by their first names- Ronald "Pepe", Big Miguel, Little Miguel and then two women vets joined the team on the last days that I was there and two male vets were let go.
I thought about going to Mexico, but didn't know that any volunteers were going. I briefly looked at flights into Villahermosa and they were in the high $600's. I can't wait to hear about your experience there!
I'm doing much better healthwise. I did lose at least 10 pounds from being sick and not eating much in Peru.

Hey you. Great to read your adventure. The progress you helped
make is the base from which the Peruvian animals will thrive,
not merely exist/procreate!
How much contact did you have with Drs. Suarez and Donayre?
Suarez was a very sweet and gentle fellow so I hope he is still
involved.
I know Cath asked how you're feeling so I'll wait for the
report, :D
I returned from Villahermosa on Saturday! I'll file a report
shortly...
huge hugs,
Gerald
