We had a GREAT time!  Sandy loves being MC, of course, the entertainer in him...lol  My niece and nephew really enjoyed it and are still giggling about all the fun everyone was having.....dogs and owners!  It was a fun group of people and dogs and everyone there was there to have a good time...the people food was pretty yummy also.

Thanks again, Pam, for organizing and being there with all your good training comments...and of course your wonderful sense of humor also.  You are right, you can make up your own games and I am sure they will be a hit.

It was great to see everyone!

Oh Chris, it's not a hoax - the track is really closing at the end of this calendar year. However, unadopted greyhounds will NOT be euthanized. That's the part that's annoying. Someone who apparently has it in for the greyhound park is circulating the truth but adding one blatant falsehood - so they can flood the racetrack with complaints and phone calls based on the falsehood.

I know Greyhound tracks are closing all over, so thus in my haste (in between writing 2 articles) not thinking that would be a hoax, sent it on. I should've checked.  Mea culpa.

I had an MRI yesterday - 3 very bad herniated disks.

however, I am trying very hard to stay positive - failing miserably today though, but I already have physical therapy scheduled starting Friday and called a company to retro-fit my van - I have been having problems for years with this one - the seat doesn't go down and I can't reach the pedals...which hurts my back...

and today I started to teach my dogs to retrieve the phone for me. Em and Shadow to start - Shads got it faster and is already retrieving it if I say "phone." I am now going to work it so I am farther and farther away from the phone, so he will learn to find it in case I need it.

I hate to even ask...but please send me positive thoughts....I know I am being silly for being so depressed, but I just can't help it right now....

I am actually off to bed now...

Sending good vibes your way! I know what it's like to have back pain and to not be able to function in normal day-to-day things. On a positive note, they know what the problem is... so now you can focus on healing and getting better!

Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away.

In morning she got a 201 and 205 and in the afternoon she got a 205 and a 208 (and a 5th place). This was her first truely outdoor trial and she worked beautifully! By her last run (Level 2) she was getting tired and sniffed a bit but she kept working. I am so very proud of the little girl! Now Mr. T was not in the mood to work and I picked him up in both his level 2 runs (he was giving me the "talk to the paw"). So no ARCHX (he only needs 1 more double Q). When Mr. T is on is is ON, when not well... Though I've decided to no longer beg him - if he blows me off then back into the crate (you don't play with me, then I don't play with you). Though it really doesn't phase him...he comes out of the crate and says "is that the all you have?" (LOL).

You know I am always ok to help out with Lily but I can't do days during the week unless it is summertime.

okay gang, starting in January, I am planning on doing a bunch of single topic DVDs  on different aspects of competition obedience. It doesn't matter if your dogs know this stuff or if you intend on competing. All breeds or mixed are welcome. Please contact me directly and let me know if you are interested.

The topics will be:
competition heeling (or those of you that have attention, lagging or forging problems)

retrieve

Go outs and directed jumping

directed retrieve

scent articles

signal exercise

drop on recall
