The Purebred Rescue and Relocation Society list is for rescuers of purebred cats. When we rescue them from shelters, we make more room for domestic cats.

Potential adopters are welcome!

List Rules:

Please keep your messages ON SUBJECT. This is a cat BREED rescue list. No domestics (there are many other lists for them) and no dogs!

No discussions of general animal welfare and animal rights issues. There are many other lists for these needs.

No "Breeder bashing" (blaming breeders for filling shelters, etc). Many of our rescuers are breeders.

No "flames"!

No spam, INCLUDING REQUESTS FOR DONATIONS!

No use of the list to "downsize a cattery" without pre-approval! Personal cats may not be offered for adoption without pre-approval. No inquiries about breeding or finding homes for unsold kittens or cats.

Breeders with personal problems may obtain assistance from our members, with list administrator pre-approval.

Posts about bad adopters MAY NOT CONTAIN THE NAME OF THE ADOPTER!!! This is a liability problem.

No discussion of problems or differences of opinion or policy, between two or more rescues - again, due to liability issues.

This list is moderated except in the absence of moderator(s) able to regularly release posts to the list. Posts violating list policy will not be released. During moderator absences, violations of list policy may result in: a warning, a request for a public apology to the list, moderation of posts for a period of time, or removal from the list.
