Description

Rabbit Hopping, also called Rabbit Jump, Rabbit Jumping, Showjumping and or Show Jumping is a sport that resembles Rabbit Agility but is quite different. Rabbit Hopping is a competition for domestic rabbits that jump either one or a corse full of agility type jumps. The idea of Rabbit Hopping is to teach the rabbit to jump long and high. The rabbit runs the Rabbit Hopping corse on a harness and leash.

Rabbit Agility is set up much like Dog Agility with the same types of agility equipment that is maneuvered by going over, under around and through. The rabbit agility equipment is of corse rabbits sized. The rabbit runs an agility corse on or off leash. Rabbit Agility is a timed event.

In either sport the rabbits must be trained. The best competitors have been trained to wear and walk on a harness and leash. This list is set up to talk about both sports and the training involved, as well as the equipment needed. Come join us if you have one pet rabbit or your are a rabbit breeder.

Some breeds of rabbits that may do well at this sport are, Rhinelander, Dutch, Satin, American, Astrex, Beveren, Belgian Hare,Californian, Checkered Giant, Cinnamon, English Spot, Florida White, Harlequin, Havana, Himalayan, Hotot, Lilac, French or Mini Lop, New Zealand, Palomino, Rex, Silver Fox, Silver, Martin, Thrianta, Tan, Netherland Dwarf, Holland Lop, or any other breed as well as mixed breeds. Great fun for pet owner or owners with a bunny rabbits or with bunnies.

Of course we will be talking about other rabbit related topics, care, health, breeds, breeding house and other training. I am sure from time to time we will all brag about our rabbits and their accomplishments.
