Subject: Holly needs help asap
I’m very uncomfortable posting this as I never have, but have seen others do so, so kind of have no choice.
I’ve had a small girl with me a week from a shelter that was about to put them all down. She had been there for almost a year according to the paperwork (which they admitted might have gotten mixed up) and was supposedly spayed. She just hasn’t seemed right, tho went from barely eating to chowing down, drinking and pooping in a week, but still looked depressed. She is at Dr Stanzione’s as we speak in surgery
Xrays show what appear to be two mummified fetuses. He can’t tell if she was only partly spayed or not at all. He did give me the option of taking her home to get one of my spay discount vets to do the surgery, but we opted to go with it right away.
Those who know me know that I operate on a tiny disability income, unincorporated and therefore unfunded, so basically up a creek. While I rely on discounted spay/neuters (already more than my adoption donation), I never skimp on their medical
If anyone is feeling wildly generous with even just the smallest donation, I’m sure the vet (Dakota Vet, 914-421-0020) would probably accept credit cards by phone. We have a paypal donation on our website and I can of course send donation thank you’s that are valid for tax purposes, they just wouldn’t include a 501c3#. I do have my own yahoogroup set up where I should be asking, but not knowing how to do address lists, I have just never gotten it going
I know everyone is hurting these days, so I don’t expect miracles, but as always, even just the smallest amounts add up. Ironically, I posted a different rabbit, Sally, as needing help as I didn’t want to leave her at that shelter to be put down just because of a funky eye, which turns out to be okay.
Many thanks and have a happy 4th

consider donating a spay or neuter
(Please read - due to disability, I am not able to keep up more than very simple short emails. Best (sometimes only) way to reach me is by phone. Sorry for the inconvenience. Writer note - any oddities, blame the voice software used to dictate this)
