Rainbow Rescue & Adoption of (North Central) West Virginia (Fairmont) was founded as a formal manifestation of the rescue and adoption efforts conducted primarily by Kammi Kai Hefner, her immediate family members, and close friends. Over the past 30 years these individuals have personally rescued and adopted numerous abandoned animals in WV (primarily dogs).

We are not a rescue organization in the traditional sense (i.e, we DO NOT have a facility), we are: "Rescue in Cyberspace!", "A Rainbow of Friends! Helping Friends" networked via the Internet to help our animal Friends!

This list is primarily focused on cats, dogs, ferrets, and horses in North Central West Virginia; however information concerning any other animals in need (lost/found/abandoned/placing/adopting) in any location, will be posted.

RainbowRescueNetwork is an Internet Network of "general public" Friends (sponsored by ONE List Communities) to enable quick dissemination (Announcements) of information concerning our animal Friends in West Virginia in need. We ask that if you utilize the Services of RR&A that you subscribe (open membership) and stay on RainbowRescueNetwork for a minimum of one year!

Individuals utilizing any RR&A services will automatically be subscribed to RainbowRescueNetwork for one year!

RainbowRescueFriends is another Internet Network of RR&A Friends (sponsored by ONE List Communities) who are more involved in RR&A (update the web site, distribute brochures, monitor other rescue lists, etc.) in an effort to assist our animal Friends in West Virginia in need. This is a separate list (restricted membership) located at http://onelist.com/RainbowRescueFriends
