Dear Pet Lovers:
If you have heard of the work of Stolen Horse International, aka NetPosse.com or the NetPosse Volunteer group, then you know Debi Metcalfe has been helping to save horses for a decade through her volunteer work at NetPosse.
Because of her generous heart, she took in a stray dog, part Boxer, German Sheppard (we think) mix in May and has worked for several months to train him so he would be adoptable. Jack is a young dog, but somewhat timid. However, he is very loving and faithful. He knows basic commands and will stay by Debi's side for hours.

Unfortunately, the Metcalfe's do not have a fenced in yard, only an underground fence to keep their own trained dog in the yard, and this dog has been roaming. While she is not the only neighbor feeding him, she did get Jack his rabies shot for the protection of her family and others in her area. Even though there are no leash laws in the county and there is very little traffic on this largely untraveled dirt road neighborhood Debi has now been named the official owner of Jack.
Sadly, time has run out for Jack. We all know how some neighbors can be and unfortunately Debi has found out too. Despite being a good neighbor all these years when other people's dogs come to her house, one of those same neighbors has called the pound to get Jack...it appears Jack causes one of the neighbors dogs to bark and has barked once at another neighbor. He is not being picked up for aggression, just walking. He has not attacked anyone or even acted like he wanted to.

This is the problem Debi has encountered. Debi has until late tomorrow to find Jack a home. If he gets off her property and animal control is called out, it will be a $100 fine for EVERY CALL! Debi cannot afford this. She quit her job to run the nonprofit Stolen Horse International organization and often her family uses their own income to keep this organization working.
PLEASE HELP DEBI AND JACK!
If I was closer, I would take him. Debi is willing to meet someone within a reasonable distance.
Please look at the picture ... How can you say no? But if you do, please send this to a friend who may not.
