SCID and other genetic mutations such as GPT, CA, JES and LFS among others exist in the Arabian breed. My intent is to educate and discuss these mutations occuring within the subset of the Straight Egyptian Arabian.

Genetic research papers will be discussed as well as test results of horses from owners allowing publication of such results.

I look forward to a wonderful debate and full disclosue of the occurance of these damaging mutations.

If there are other genetically linked issues, whether supposed or scientifically documented, please feel free to tell us.

As I have stated, this will be a "stop over" to a greater project I am working on. In the mean time, feel confident your words will never be changed and your opinion is very welcomed here.

He is pictured because to the best of my knowledge, he never produced a carrier or affected foal, never sired a JES foal or a LFS foal and none of his offspring have had GPT.
