Hi, I'm Nina, my farm is Carousel Farm. I raise part Andulusians, (Warmbloods,and Sporthorses). I give riding lessons, and trained horses professionaly for 10 years.
The purpose for this group is to get us english riders all together. Since I moved to Houston in 1995, I have met many english riders, but we are all spread out. I have met many of us who switched to western for fear of ridicule. We have more strenth in #'s. We all know how much fun it is. There is no reason to hide it, but to flaunt it! Lets hit the parades and trailrides, attend those fun shows with one english class, maybe they'll start adding more, if an interest is shown.
I want to cover a 50 mile radius around Houston, but don't worry if you are further. Most of the english riding activities are closer to the 3 big cities in Missouri. But we ARE scattered about here in the woods! Most of us are transplants as I. I am from Connecticut. If you ride western, and are curious, you are welcome to join. If you choose to learn english it will inprove your western skills.
