I wish I could help out but, I have 4 of my own that I am juggling bank accounts and credit cards for. I hope you find help for her. She needs to call a rescue and have the horses picked up. There is a rescue in North Dakota that is taking horses. Let me know if you need their name and I will forward it to you.
I too don't mean to be cruel but, when is the breeding of these unwanted animals going to stop? There are just too many horses out there that need homes and people are still breeding uncontrollably. All day I see emails from people giving horses away. It is becoming like the unwanted dog and cat situation. Very sad.
I really wish I could take one off her hands but, I am just making ends meet with what I have.
Good luck. I will say a prayer for her to get some help.janet/owner/moderator http://groups. yahoo.com/ group/horsetrans portreview/ ----- Original Message ----

Hi everyone, please don't take this the wrong way, it is coming from love, and caring.
Victoria, as many of you know, had terrible injury almost 3 years ago, breaking her back, and several months later had car wreck, with other less serious, but serious injury. She also suffered financial devastation. Although she went back to work, she never fully recovered from the accident physically, and financially. She is no longer working now, in between going back to her Equine Assisted Physco Therapy. Anyway, she has been struggling to keep all 13 (?) horses, in vain. It has been hard for me to watch because she can't physically take care of so many horses, and she has been bouncing checks, and I won't delve too far into the horror she is facing financially. As a horse lover it has been hard to watch, because her whole place is falling apart, she's lost 3 horses, due to overcrowding, at least 2 of them, and she has not been able to find dependable help to take care of them, one literally died of thirst, with her unaware till it was too late. Anyway after the deaths, and countless serious injuries, recently a badly cut pastern/bulb area on a young gelding, and she yet again got trampled the other day, but luckily not terribly, she has come to the realization that she needs to give most of them up, all but 2...she also has more foals coming this, and next year, as all horses are running together, amoung the broken fences, and tractor equipment, and trash etc. The whole thing had gotten out of hand, and many tried to help her, but it is just too much. ............ .If she wasn't my friend I would call the humane society on her, not because she is mean and cruel, but she is too feeble, and broke to properly take care of them. Not to mention she gets NO enjoyment out of them, it's all she can do to water and feed them, and juggling bank accounts to pay for it. She kept them because she loves them and is trying her best, but now she see's for herself that it is too much, and I am so relieved, cause I just couldn't tell her, I almost did, but just couldn't. Soooooooooooo I do believe she would GIVE most, some, or all of them away to good preferably natural horsemanship homes. Please if any of you can, or know someone who can take some or even one of these animals, it would be a rescue. They are not starved or thin, some are starting to lose weight now actually, they are up to date on shots as of last fall, but they are getting injured, almost on a daily basis, and she owes the vet so much, she fears he won't come out anymore, which is probably true. I have to go feed, so later I will post a list of the horses she has. PLEASE HELP THESE HORSES!!!!!! !!!!!!!!! !! Nina
