Description

This list focuses on the history and roots of the Samoyed dog breed. Originating in Northwestern Siberia, these dogs were bred by nomadic reindeer hunting people. These primitive people depended upon the assistance of their versatile dogs, who were well suited to the harsh arctic conditions. We are interested in discussing the aboriginal qualities of this breed, and issues surrounding the possibility of true breeding specimens which may still exist in their native lands.
