Six_State_Rescue (Georgia, Tennessee, North Carolina, South Carolina, Florida and Alabama) alliance - to be used by rescuers, rescue groups, fosters, transporters, and shelters. The goal of Six State Rescue group is to connect and unite rescue workers of the six states into a regional (Georgia being the central state and including the five states which border Georgia) cooperative network, with membership restricted to people who primarily do most of their rescue efforts in those states. Six State Rescue is the "sister group" of Five State Rescue which formed in February 2001 covering the region of Va, Tenn, Ky, WVa, and NC and has 293 members as of August 14, 2004.

Note: This is not intended to exclude helping
non-member rescue workers who need help in the
6 states with shelter pulls, transport, temporary
foster, etc.

MEMBERSHIP: Restricted to rescue workers from the six states, but some exceptions will be made allowing some breed specific rescuers and transport coordinators to join. These members will initially have their posts moderated.
