This group is for animal rescuers, guardians, caretakers, shelter workers, and other individuals in the NYC area to post an advertisement about a dog or cat (or any other animal) they would like to re-home. The group is devoted solely to those animals who would be considered "special needs". This would mostly include physically challenged animals, but also animals who may have been socialized so poorly or have been so abused that they need extra special attention and care before they can be sent out into the world to live a normal, happy life in a home environment.

Also, if you have a heart which calls you to foster, adopt, or even sponsor a special needs animal, please, look through our posts, or post a message letting our members know what kind of animal you would like to help.

There are other groups like this that focus on special needs animals, but I haven't seen one that is solely for the NYC community at large. So, please, let's try to limit posts to animals that are located in NYC or within roughly 100 miles of it.
