TIER rescues abused, neglected, abandoned, and unwanted horses. At times, we are also able to work with local Animal Control Agencies to help as many horses as possible.
Once a horse in our care has been rehabilitated (if needed) and is deemed "ready for a new home", we strive to find safe, Responsible, Loving, Caring homes for them through our adoption program. Some of these wonderful equine friends remain under the care of TIER for the remainder of their time on earth as sanctuary animals. Through our Youth Outreach & Volunteer programs, these magnificent horses continue to unconditionally give of themselves as teachers of young and not so young!!
These horses come in all sizes, colors, breeds, ages. Some have been neglected, abused, starved, sold because their owners didn't have time for them, etc . There are racehorses that aren't fast enough (tattoos, but usually no registration papers). Sometimes they are horses that just aren't the right colors or conformation, or horses that have been injured and the injury has not been taken care of. There are also horses that have done their very best for humans for years whose reward in their Golden Years is to end up with a very uncertain future.
With your help, we can make a difference for some of these horses!
