A place where holistic Bulldoggers and others who love the breed can meet and discuss holistic approaches to keeping Bulldogs.
But what does holistic really mean?
At The Holistic Bulldogger the meaning of holistic is taken to be relating to the whole, attempting to address all the needs of the Bulldog, from conception to old age, from housing and nurturing to training and medical treatment. The psychological wellbeing is as important as the physical in maintaining a healthy Bulldog.
In terms of veterinary treatment, holistic is taken to mean embracing all modalities and trying to use the best from each, in each case choosing the most efficacious approach for that individual situation, eschewing neither contemporary allopathy nor the various alternatives.
However, our interests and discussions are definitely centered on the alternatives to allopathic practices. Alternatives to such things as vaccination and antibiotics are encouraged whenever practical.
Sound nutrition is the foundation of good health. A Species Appropriate Raw Food (SARF) diet is the basis of sound nutrition and is essential to maintaining a genuinely healthy Bulldog. The SARF diet is an essential element of a truly holistic approach to breeding and raising Bulldogs.
The Holistic Bulldogger is a place where holistic Bulldog breeders, exhibitors, pet owners, and anyone with a love of Bulldogs or any of the “bull-breeds” and an interest in various holistic approaches can meet and discuss all aspects of keeping Bulldogs healthy.
If these things sound appealing to you, if you have an interest in finding out more about any of the above, if you are experienced in any of the above and want to share your experience with others, come join us.
Subscribers to The Holistic Bulldogger are required to use their real names. No "handles" or "on screen/on line" identities will be permitted.
