Hello and welcome to ThePossibleCanine (TPC). Our aim here is to provide qualified canine nutrition information and advice, from basic questions to advanced research topics, in a friendly and supportive environment.
This group emphasizes respect for difference and invites inquiry into nutrition - on all levels, whether you are a newcomer to the field or bring years of experience along with you. We examine pros and cons of various commercial diets, home prepared diets (raw and cooked) and vegetarian feeding with an eye to matching the diet to the dog - and not the other way around. Discussion includes nutritional management of common canine health conditions such as allergies, IBD, cancer, arthritis, auto-immune diseases, pancreatic and liver disorders, and many more.
In addition, our exploration of the science of nutrition will include more in-depth study of nutrients, requirements, physiology and food science. We accept that while no one diet is ideal for all dogs at all times, and many ways of feeding can work, the ground rules of nutrition should always be respected and applied where possible. Weekends are open to discussion of related topics including the use of herbs, Flower Essences, Tellington Touch and homeopathy.
