Timbreblue is a small whippet kennel in SW Virginia, where all the dogs are housepets and the puppies are raised underfoot. We breed for temperament, health, soundness, and type. Showing is not high in our priorities, but we show enough to insure that we're breeding the best whippets we can. We've bred our UKC Grand Champion Timbreblue Talks to Strangers (Candy) to AKC Ch Bohem Just in Time (Justin) and if all goes well, we'll have puppies born around the middle of April.
This group is for people who want to be informed about this and future litters, see pictures of the puppies as they grow, and/or learn about the joys, trials and tribulations of breeding.
Reports and pictures include Timbreblue-related litters we know about as well. Naydene Mitchell, Marnay Whippets, started her breeding program with a Timbreblue pup and also posts her litter news here. Owners of Marnay Whippets are also included in our email list for current owners.
A Timbreblue or Marnay puppy is for the person who wants a dog as a member of the family and for whom pet ownership is an important part of life. We keep in touch with all our owners, maintain an email list for them, and have a reunion every summer. We don't ship our pups, but have had people come from Florida, New York, the Midwest, and (our record so far) Nevada to pick them up.
You don't have to be interested in one of our puppies to join...but if you are, this list will keep you updated on what's going on here.
We'll also be happy to answer questions about buying a whippet and help you find a breeder in your area. Any chat about whippets is welcome. No commercial messages please.
