TrainingAiredales was started to be a list with good trainers on it so that Airedale people can easily find help with training issues. Often, a pet owner who has gone through something can help another pet owner who comes up against the same issue. TrainingAiredales also has many members who know a lot about training Airedales in general and for specific sports. All are here to help other members, members who are looking to train that new puppy as well as members with out-of-control Airedales that came with no operating instructions.
The TrainingAiredales list is for people who are working or who want to work with Airedales in many different arenas, including but not limited to: great house dogs, obedience, rally obedience, agility, herding, flyball, frisbee, dancing, therapy, service work, conformation, hunting, search and rescue, tracking, schutzhund, and more. This list has a core group of successful Airedale trainers and competitors in many of the above sports and activities. The list is geared to getting help with training issues, and as such, the list is open to people to discuss their work with their dogs, ask questions about what they want to do, explore different ways of training, discuss how they are doing in competitions, and share their successes.
All training methods are open for discussion and all methods are respected.
Airedales are now competing and winning titles in AKC hunt tests. The picture on this page is of Barbara Denofrio’s CH Royalcrest Total Knockout TDX (Dempsey) on May 8, 2011 at Rock Cut State park, hosted by Car-dun-al Dog Training. Congratulations to Barbara and to Dempsey.
