Unusual Abyssinian Cats is a friendly group for everyone who is interested in Abyssinian Cats, especially in the more "unusual" colours – Silver, Chocolate & Lilac, or Red, Cream & Tortoiseshell - and combinations of these with the more common colours.

Our aim is to build a network of cooperative people with these interests, to support those who show their cats in the UK, to share breeding plans and observations, and to keep a record of litters and show successes. We also discuss current issues in the cat world and are happy to help with individual cat problems by sharing our experiences.
Overseas members are most welcome.

We now have a list of those happy to mentor others on the database of this group, under 'List of Mentors willing to help.' so if anyone would like any help in specific areas, please feel free to contact those listed as well as ask questions generally on the group.

Feel free to post questions, concerns, show brags, kitten availability (all colours), people looking for Abys of any colour, pictures, etc. Discussions are encouraged, but please no spamming or flaming or anything completely unrelated to Abys. Also as some members are judges please do not say if you are taking cats to a particular show - but do let us know how your cats have done afterwards.

Please introduce yourself to the group and on all posts put your full name, cattery name (if relevant) and location. For example " Jane Smith, Wonderful Abyssinians, UK."
