Binoculars and Brown Boobys in the Caribbean
Join us for a special meeting which makes the most of the light summer evenings.
Our speaker is Steve Holliday, Regional Manager for the RSPB in Central England,
who will be telling us about bird conservation in Anguilla. Steve shares with us
his work with the Anguillan National Trust and some of the species of the
island, which include Sooty Tern, Brown Booby and Piping Plover.
From 6.30 to 7.30pm, the meeting sponsors Focus Optics will be demonstrating
optical equipment. It's the opportunity to drop in and get help with making the
most of your existing binoculars and telescope or getting advice on the latest
gear.
WMBC members are very welcome to join us for one or both of these events on
Tuesday 12th May - optical demo from 6.30pm and our Caribbean talk from 7.30 pm.
The venue is St. Mary's Centre, Market Square, Lichfield W13 6LG. For more
