Apologies for duplicates.]

Short notice I know, but I have just received this, which may be of
interest. Note that there's an on-line consultation, which is open until
August:

Like all major river systems, the River Tame has a history of
flooding.

Areas that were significantly affected include Bescot, Witton,
Water Orton, Fazeley, Tamworth and Elford. We used information
from flooding events in these areas to develop the River Tame
Strategy, ensuring that past knowledge guides future decisions.

At these drop-in sessions we are inviting people to attend at
any time between 3.00pm and 8.00pm.

Residents can discuss any concerns they may have about our
proposals and offer local knowledge that may influence our
final plans.

Our staff will be available to answer questions and provide
relevant information about the scheme at:

* Witton & Perry Barr Public Consultation Drop-in Session
Friday 05 June 2009 - 3pm to 8pm
St Johns Church Centre, Church Road, Perry Barr B42 2LB

* Castle Vale and Bromford Public Consultation Drop-in
Session
Friday 12 June 2009 – 4.30pm to 8pm
The Firs and Bromford Sports and Community Centre,
Cameronian Croft, Bromford, Birmingham B36 8UB

* Oldbury
Friday 19 June 2009 – 4.30pm to 9pm
Community Centre, Hurst Road, Smethwick B67 6ND

We welcome your views on our recommendations for the River Tame
Strategy. If you are unable to attend this public consultation
drop-in session, you can submit your comments via email to
rivertamestrategy@... or write to us at:
