I am pretty sure that Jay is a resident fixture at Sheepwash, a bird that was
absent when I watched the area regularly in the late nineties. Although I don't
mind this recent colonist I would have preferred to have had the area a little
more treeless, something that the local council went mad on and instantly put a
stop to the good wader of Pumphouse Pool. Turnstone, Greenshank, Redshank,
Dunlin, Ringed; Little Ringed Plover, Green and Common Sandpiper and
Oystercatcher were all near info annual visitors.

Subject: [WMBC-WestMidlands] Jay at Sheepwash
A jay came over from Sheepwash yesterday morning into my garden.
This follows a sighting of a pair of jays in my neighbour's garden (which also
backs on to Sheepwash) a few months ago.
Not sure if these are a 'fixture' at Sheepwash now - we don't get over there
as much as we used to due to the fact it's not too buggy-friendly in places.
