Windy, very mild.

3 Mandarin, 1 male Reed Bunting (unusual), 14 Sand Martin, 1 Garden
Warbler, 2 Raven, 1 Sparrowhawk, 3 Swallow, 1 Heron, 1 Red-Legged
Partridge, 3 Canada Goose (unusual).

2 further Mandarin on the lowest stretch of Borle Brook were Shrops
CC but possibly Worcs VC.

Pound Green (edge of Wyre Forest): 1 Cuckoo, 1 Tree Pipit, 4 House
Martin, 1 Garden Warbler, 1 Red-Legged Partridge, 6 Swallow.

FRI 27 APR 07

Cooler than forecast, rather windy, cloudy.

1 Mandarin, 10 House Martin, 1 male Reed Bunting, 6 Sand Martin, 1
Raven, 2 Kingfisher, 3 Red-Legged Partridge, 2 Swallow, 2 Canada
Goose.

(2 Mandarin on the lowest stretch of Borle Brook).

Had a quick walk around Trimpley Reservoir for the first time.
Nothing of particular note … but just for the record: 8 Great Crested
Grebe, 2 Coot, 11 Mallard, 1 Mute Swan, 1 Garden Warbler (2 others
along nearby Severn), 1 Swallow, 1 Heron, 1 Red-Legged Partridge, 1
Grey Wagtail, 2 Lesser Black-Backed Gull, 4 Buzzard, 4 Linnet.

SUN 29 APR 07

Warm, sunny but breezy.

1 Mandarin, 1 male Goosander, 1 male Reed Bunting, 7 House Martin, 1
Kingfisher, 3 Raven, 14 Sand Martin, 1 Garden Warbler, 2 Red-Legged
Partridge, 3 Canada Goose.

(2 Mandarin on the lowest stretch of Borle Brook).

Nash End: 1 Lesser Whitethroat, 2 Whitethroat, 5 Red-Legged
Partridge, no Lapwing on their breeding site.

All but 1 of the week's Mandarin sightings (2 further sightings well
into Shrops) were of males.

Hopefully, more in a month or so.
