Upcoming calendar upgrade: Yahoo! Groups calendars are being upgraded to a much improved version. You may not have access to the calendar (for up to 24 hours) when this group is upgraded. We sincerely apologize for this inconvenience.
Description
The primary purpose of this group is to organize transport of low-cost raw food. We currently have monthly deliveries to Rochester, Buffalo, Syracuse and Binghamton, hoping to add Corning and Jamestown in the future.
Our products range from bargain chicken backs, to locally raised, grass-fed meats and eggs. None of our current suppliers are certified for handling human grade food, but much of it comes from human grade sources and is handled as they would food for their own tables. Ask the supplier if you have any questions about how food is sourced and processed.
Raw food is the natural diet of carnivores: raw meat. Most information on raw feeding is focused on dogs, but owners of other carnivorous pets such as cats, ferrets, and reptiles may find raw feeding beneficial. See the links section for more information about raw feeding. Some of the top experts in the field are readily available through these other groups. This group is not the best place for advice; we are focused on supply.
Suppliers of raw food and other products of interest to raw feeders are welcome to post an introduction, and list themselves in the supplier database and/or links section. Please contact a moderator directly if you'd like help listing your products. When a transport is organized, all suppliers are welcome to put products sold onto the transport. (If you have pending orders, and no transport is scheduled, you are welcome to organize one.)
Other local topics of interest to raw feeders will be allowed, but this is primarily a raw supply list. There are much better places to get info on general medical problems, diet, pet sports, animal rights, etc. please do share links to loosely related topics in the links section.

Re: New to group
We had some members in Corning, but there were not enough of them to make it worth the trip up to Rochester. Any Corning members still out there? ... [Non-text
