But most U.S. media outlets, working as the mouthpieces of the U.S. government, has tried to befuddle things by playing word games such as IMPLYING that all of the reasons for the recalls were related to manufacturing issues. That is false. While lead-based paint is related to manufacturing in China, most of the toy recalls were due to design related reasons that are not the responsibility of the manufacturer. Do a search on yahoo or google for an article, one of the very few relatively objective ones, that was published on cnn or msnbc a while back.
