This group is for anyone who has a dog with an amputation or loves a dog with an amputation or any kind of serious leg problem. It was started in honor of Hannibal, a dear amputee dog who passed away on 6/11/04 at 6:15 pm. In honor of you, sweet dog...he endured a lot but never lost his smile. We should all have his spirit. While we are certainly not experts, we will share our experiences with you, and will offer support and help in any way we can.

There is a good book called "Without Regret, a Handbook for Owners of Canine Amputees" by Susan Neal.

There is another great group called http://pets.groups.yahoo.com/group/bonecancerdogs/ for owners of dogs with bone cancers that necessitate amputation of limbs.
