This group is established to provide a forum for the discussion of legislative actions around the country that will impact owners of all animals. We feel that there are vocal groups who are willing to lobby legislatures to forward their agendas of controlling animal ownership and in some cases extinguishing it altogether. We also feel that many owners of animals, whether it is one single bird or an entire ranch of livestock, are often not aware of these potential changes.
We expect adult behavior here with no flaming, name calling or other outrageous behavior. We ask that discussing this subject, while often leading to high emotional levels, be kept civilized. Members will be moderated at first until we feel that they show the maturity we expect. Violators will be placed on moderated status and if the behavior continues it will be dealt with privately and the member may or may not stay with the group depending on the outcome of the private conversations.
