list is *no* replacement for hands on familiarity.

2. Do not necessarily accept anything and everything you may read or see in the

3. It is helpful if everyone can restrict themselves to animals - disease,
treatments, cute animal stories etc

4. This is a moderated list and no e-spam will appear on the list.

5. Be tolerant of others views and try *not* to start 'flame wars'.

6. Depending on work load at individual practices a veterinarian will attempt
to answer your queries as time and work permits if it is necessary.

7. Indicate when replying your level of expertise : vet, vet
nurse/technician, breeder or owner.

8. Include presenting signs, history (things like breed, age, sex,
duration), diagnosis and tests carried out about a disease or animal if
you can.

Remember though, that your local veterinarian is in the best position to
advise you about things. It is almost impossible to diagnose or give
specific advice over the internet and *any* regime is an educated guess
and should always be discussed with your local veterinarian. In no way
can this list or its owners/moderators be responsible for actions
undertaken pre or post discussion on the list.
