Natural history cameraman Pete Constable asked me to post the following report;

 

Upto 40 southern right whales were sighted yesterday within viewing range of the main viewing platform at the 'Head of the Bight' in South Australia. Amongst these whales were at least 7 calves, including one white one. 

 

Also;

Narooma charter operater Darryl Stewart today reported strong numbers of humpbacks still passing through the Montague Island area of the Sapphire Coast on the southern New South Wales coast.
