My understanding is that in the wild, they form mating balls or "clusters" and are therefore a bit tricky to breed in captivity unless you have a heap of them...

I think you will find a bite from an ornamental snake is probably more serious than a crown snake bite, the ornamental is a lot more robust with a larger head...
