The photo is of Paul with Thunder and his herd out for a walk on their new home in Colorado. Even living in a different hemisphere, on alkaline not acid soil with 13" instead of 40" of rain, with no trees compared to native forest, and lots of rock compared to low carbon soil Thunder still self trims.


We are not aligned to any particular method of trimming but seek to find what each horse needs to be comfortable and have the type of foot that nature intended. Paul Chapman's method of trimming simply asks the horse how we can help it trim its feet, no measurements are considered. Followers of Jaime Jackson, Pete Ramey, Martha Olivio, KC La Pierre, Dr Hiltrud Strasser, and others will find this list a very friendly and actively caring bunch of horse people.

The list is also open to other horse related treatments and care that by their nature do no harm to horse or human.
